Marissa Ramsay
Junior Architectural Technician
With an early aptitude for technical drawing, mathematics and physics, Marissa developed an appreciation for the technical side of the built environment. Her studies later grew into a genuine interest in the creative aspects of architecture, particularly colour, spatial composition and the process of designing spaces that are both functional and personal.
Marissa holds an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences, specializing in Architectural Studies, from the Barbados Community College. As a Junior Architectural Technician at Gillespie & Steel, she has experience in architectural design, technical drawing, spatial planning, visual presentation, as well as architectural design and documentation software, including Vectorworks. She has a strong interest in the individuality of architectural spaces and how they can reflect the people who occupy them.
Naturally curious and detail-oriented, Marissa enjoys the balance of creativity and precision that architecture offers. She is particularly interested in how the needs and personality of an occupant can shape a space into something uniquely their own.
Marissa is always up for a good time and believes that life is best enjoyed in all moments.
